The problem
The collagen supplement category on Amazon is crowded and visually homogeneous — clinical white-and-blue packaging competing on price and claims. A new colostrum-and-collagen brand needed to earn attention at thumbnail size, communicate premium quality and clean ingredients instantly, and scale across future SKUs.
My role
Brand Strategy, Visual Identity & Design System Lead
- Led brand positioning, naming direction, and visual identity from concept through production-ready packaging.
- Ran competitive analysis of top Amazon collagen and colostrum brands to identify visual white space and claim differentiation.
- Built a scalable design system — color, typography, iconography, badge system, and layout rules — to support SKU expansion.
- Designed production-ready labels meeting Amazon listing standards and FDA supplement labeling requirements.
- Coordinated with print vendors to ensure production fidelity from digital files to physical shelf.
Process
- Step 01
Market Positioning
Identified a warm, lifestyle-forward visual white space in a category dominated by cold clinical aesthetics, and positioned the brand around pasture-raised, grass-fed quality.
- Step 02
Identity System
Developed a hand-lettered wordmark, coral-and-teal palette, and circular sunburst badge system for trust claims that reads at thumbnail and shelf scale.
- Step 03
Production & Scale
Delivered production-ready packaging and a design system that supports future SKUs without redesigning the brand foundation.
Brand palette
